StalkerBot Render

A robot a made back in 2018 for a game I'm working on. The game itself is likely not gonna see the light of day anytime soon, so I decided why not share a bunch of the art stuff I have done for it. The concept of this robot was to be an undercover agent that somebody might mistake for a person from behind. Hence why it has a hat and coat. The hat itself is made to be part of the robot, but painted the same color as the coat.

The robot was modeled in Blender and textured in full PBR with Substance Painter. I'm going for a slight retro feel with this art style so most of the assets for this game are pretty low poly and have very low res textures with point filtering. I don't think Substance Painter was made to do low res textures, but once the textures are imported into Unity or Blender they look pretty good.

Also funny little fact, the noise is achieved by having a volumetric haze with low density and a somewhat modest sample count without any denoising in cycles. I wasn't going to keep it originally, but I thought it looked kinda cool.
And it is also a version of this render that I have been using as a profile picture on most platforms the past few years.
